Breathwork for Grief, Love and Hope

Friday, June 7th
From 7:00 - 9:00 PM
Maha Rose (200 Columbia Street, Brooklyn)
Suggested donation: $30-$100

Witnessing war, violence, destruction is hard. We feel grief, rage. We may feel hopeless and struggle to understand the right way to use our energy for change.

Witnessing war in real time, in detail on our phones is even harder. We see children dying, being brutaly murderered. And then we go about our life. Some of us have guilt and lose touch with our joy. It may be hard to feel. We may want to numb out and not feel all the feelings.

Breathwork is a three part active Breath meditation that gets us out of our heads and into our bodies. We enter a voluntary trance state where we can experience emotional and energetic catharsis without having to get into the details of the story. The experience is guided by a musical soundtrack that suggests themes and emotions. Marisa offers prompts which you guide you to your own authentic experience. Sometimes people cry and wail, there is room to holler and yell into pillows, releasing rage and anger. And there is room for laughter, joy and insight.

This Breathwork will be a fundraise for Palestine Children's Relief Fund (PCRF). Receipt of Donation will be emailed to participants. If you cant come but want to donate--feel free to do so.
